The We Are Water has carried out its sporting achievement on finishing this Barcelona World Race and has attained its solidarity objective: to take the message of the Foundation around the world.

Their adventure has been full of obstacles that they have been able to overcome and which, due to their harshness, have required the maximum effort from its skippers, Jaume and Cali; and two technical stops (in Wellington and Ushuaia) to achieve their objective. This was nothing other than to complete the circumnavigation taking the message of the We Are Water Foundation around the world, helping to raise awareness about the lack of hydric resources. Moreover, both skippers have fulfilled their human and sporting feat, a personal challenge within the reach of very few: to complete a round-the-world sailing trip.
Today, at 18:58:32 the We Are Water crossed the finishing line of the Barcelona World Race before the Hotel W of the city of Barcelona, the city of the counts, after 132 days, 4 hours, 58 minutes and 32 seconds, in which they have sailed 30,282 nautical miles at an average of 9.54 knots.
Impressive and emotive welcome for Jaume and Cali

The welcome they have received from family, sailors, friends, members of their team and members of the Foundation, from the sea, before crossing the finishing line, and on land, has been the most impressive and most emotional of all those experienced in this year's Barcelona World Race; a well-deserved welcome for the willpower and capacity to overcome that Jaume and Cali have shown to realise their dream and fulfil their solidarity objective around the world.
Many congratulations to the two sailors, for us and many others doubly winners
