Javier Cámara

Actor

Spanish actor. He made his debut in the theater in the early 1990s and then switched to television. He became very popular for his role in the first three seasons of 7 vidas in Telecinco. With his role in Lucía y el sexo and his work along Almodóvar in Hable con ella he became one of the most important Spanish actors at the beginning of the year 2000. After Hable con ella he has worked on two more occasions with Almodóvar. He has also played in different television series and films, which have earned him seven Goya nominations. He finally won the Goya Award in 2014 with the film by David Trueba Vivir es fácil con los ojos cerrados. He won his second Goya Award in 2016 for Truman. He started working on blockbusters for streaming platforms such as Netflix and HBO in 2016. He currently plays in the television series The Young Pope by Paolo Sorrentino, along with Jude Law and Diane Keaton and in the third season of Narcos. 

In 2017, he co-starred in the comedy Es por tu bien and in Poco Corriente in 2019.
