A pesar de las inversiones realizadas en infraestructuras, muchas comunidades de bajos recursos contin\u00faan careciendo de acceso a agua potable<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La falta de agua potable es un serio problema que afecta la calidad de vida de las personas tanto de las \u00e1reas urbanas como rurales. Las mujeres y los ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as se ven obligadas a recorrer largas distancias para encontrar agua potable, que est\u00e1 frecuentemente contaminada por diferentes factores. Anantapur es uno de los distritos m\u00e1s \u00e1ridos del estado Andhra Pradesh. Los r\u00edos Pennar, Hagari y Chitravathi, que recorren el distrito, permanecen secos durante meses debido a la poca influencia del monz\u00f3n entre los meses de junio y noviembre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La contaminaci\u00f3n tanto de r\u00edos como de las aguas subterr\u00e1neas es un grave problema que se suma a la escasez general de agua para sus diferentes usos. A pesar de las inversiones p\u00fablicas realizadas en infraestructuras sanitarias y agua, muchas comunidades de bajos recursos en la India rural contin\u00faan careciendo de acceso a agua potable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wearewater.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/andra-2014-1_143657.jpg\" alt=\"Andra Pradesh 2\" class=\"wp-image-3221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wearewater.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/andra-2014-1_143657.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.wearewater.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/andra-2014-1_143657-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wearewater.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/andra-2014-1_143657-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.wearewater.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/andra-2014-1_143657-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">En detalle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto de acceso al agua potable forma parte delprograma de desarrollo de una red de salud rural de RDT\/WDT, con el objetivo de garantizar el acceso a la salud de todos los habitantes de los distritos de Anantapur y Kurnool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son las ventajas de las bombas de agua, de funcionamiento manual?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ahorra tiempo y energ\u00eda, ya que evita que las familias tengan que caminar largas distancias para buscar agua.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mejora la higiene personal y la limpieza del entorno.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ayuda al cultivo de los huertos y al mantenimiento del ganado.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Permite que el trabajo sea m\u00e1s productivo, sobre todo las labores del hogar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce la carga de trabajo de mujeres y ni\u00f1os\/as, de manera que pueden tener m\u00e1s tiempo para sus actividades personales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incrementa la armon\u00eda de la comunidad debido a la reducci\u00f3n de los conflictos relacionados con la falta de agua.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<p>Los pozos de agua funcionan mediante una bomba que se activa manualmente. Cada bomba de agua proporciona agua potable a cerca de unas 75 a 100 familias, es decir a una poblaci\u00f3n de entre 300 y 400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 haremos?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Excavaremos 10 pozos e instalaremos 10 bombas de agua de funcionamiento manual en 10 pueblos, de las \u00e1reas de Dharmavaram, Kothachevuru, Mamillapalli y Mudigubba, en la regi\u00f3n de Bathalapalli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para poder contar con agua potable es imprescindible identificar correctamente los puntos de agua, excavar los pozos e instalar bombas de extracci\u00f3n para que el agua llegue a la superficie. El proyecto objeto de esta propuesta abarca la perforaci\u00f3n de pozos, la instalaci\u00f3n de las bombas de agua de funcionamiento manual y su puesta en marcha. Estos sistemas son una medida muy rentable para hacer frente a las necesidades inmediatas de las comunidades en las zonas rurales, alejadas de los centros urbanos, ya que se ven privadas del suministro de agua.
